Nupo is a parent-controlled app that puts a short learning moment in front of the apps your child already uses. You choose which apps it applies to and how long they stay open. Your child answers a few quick, age-appropriate questions, and the app unlocks for the time you set.

Children aged 5 to 12. During setup you choose an age range, and the questions your child sees are matched to it. The account, the settings and the PIN all belong to the parent.

A parent signs in, picks the apps that should have a learning moment attached, and sets the rules for each one. After that it runs on its own: when your child opens one of those apps, Nupo asks a few questions first. When they answer, the app opens for the time you allowed, and then it locks again.

On Android, Nupo detects on the device that a chosen app has come to the foreground and shows the lesson screen over it. On iOS, Apple does not allow any app to draw over another, so Nupo works through Apple's Screen Time framework instead: the learning moment appears when the chosen app is opened, rather than on top of it. The result is the same, and the difference is worth knowing before you set it up.

Yes. You decide which apps Nupo applies to, and for most families those are the ones a child reaches for without being asked — a game, a video app, a streaming app. That is the point: the learning moment lands in front of something your child already wants.

By repetition attached to something that already happens. Your child does not need to remember to open a learning app, because the practice sits in front of an app they were already going to open. Nupo also tracks a daily streak, so what gets counted is showing up rather than getting a high score.

No. Children do not create accounts, enter personal information, or see ads. Everything about a child's learning session — the questions shown, the answers given, progress and streaks — stays on the device and is never uploaded. The only child-related details that reach our servers are the first name or nickname you type during setup and the coarse age range you select.

No. Nupo shows no ads and contains no advertising or marketing SDKs. There is no advertising identifier and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. We do use product analytics to see where parents get stuck in setup and whether families keep using Nupo — never to profile anyone, never for advertising, and never recording anything your child types or answers.

On Android, Nupo is currently free. On iOS, Nupo requires a paid subscription or a one-time purchase: a weekly plan, a yearly plan that starts with a three-day free trial, or a lifetime purchase. Prices vary by country, and the exact price is always shown by the App Store before you confirm.

Nupo is a helper, not a guarantee, and we would rather say so plainly. A determined child may find ways around any tool of this kind. Nupo is protected by a parent PIN and warns you when its permissions have been turned off, but it is not a substitute for knowing what is happening on the device.

On iOS, go to Parent settings and choose Delete account. On Android, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You can also email us and we will do it for you. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and profile record from our systems.
