Terms of Service
Effective date: 7 August 2026
Apps: Nupo for iOS (bundle com.app.nupo) and Nupo for Android (package app.nupo.kid)
Contact: vishnu@internspirit.com
These terms are an agreement between you and InternSpirit Private Limited (“we”, “us”) for the use of the Nupo app. By creating an account or using Nupo, you agree to them. They cover both the iOS and Android versions; where the two differ, we say so explicitly.
1. What Nupo is
Nupo is a parental tool that adds short learning moments to a child's use of selected apps. A parent signs in, chooses apps, and sets rules; the child answers age-appropriate questions before using those apps.
2. Who may use Nupo
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child who uses the device. The account and PIN belong to the parent. Children may use only the child-facing learning screens, under your supervision and responsibility.
3. Your account
- On Android, you sign in with your phone number. On iOS, you sign in with Apple or with Google. Keep your sign-in method current and keep the device secure.
- The parent PIN protects Nupo's settings. Choose a PIN your child cannot guess, and don't share it. Anyone with your PIN can change or turn off Nupo.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Nupo on a device or against a person without the legal authority to supervise that device or child;
- attempt to bypass, reverse engineer, or interfere with Nupo's operation, or help anyone else do so;
- use Nupo in any unlawful way.
5. What Nupo is not — important limits
Be honest with yourself about what a tool like this can do:
- Nupo is a helper, not a guarantee. A determined child may find ways around any tool of this kind. Nupo includes safeguards and warns you when its permissions are turned off, but it is not a substitute for parental supervision, and we do not promise it cannot be circumvented.
- On Android, the operating system — especially aggressive battery management — can stop background apps, which can interrupt Nupo.
- On iOS, Nupo works through Apple's Screen Time framework and depends on the authorization you grant. A person who knows the device passcode or the Screen Time passcode can revoke that authorization, and Nupo will stop working until it is granted again. iOS also does not permit any app to draw over another app, so on iOS the learning moment appears when the chosen app is opened, rather than on top of it.
- Nupo is not an educational institution and makes no promises about learning outcomes.
- Nupo requires certain permissions to work. If you decline or revoke them, parts or all of Nupo will not function.
6. Fees and subscriptions
On Android, Nupo is currently free. If we introduce paid features, prices and terms will be shown clearly in the app before you pay, and payment will be processed by Google Play.
On iOS, Nupo requires a paid subscription or a one-time purchase. The plans are:
| Plan | Length | Renews? |
|---|---|---|
| Nupo Premium Weekly | 1 week | Yes, automatically |
| Nupo Premium Yearly | 1 year, starting with a 3-day free trial | Yes, automatically |
| Nupo Premium Lifetime | One-time purchase | No |
Reference prices are US$3.99 weekly, US$39.99 yearly, and US$99.99 lifetime. Prices vary by country and currency, and the exact price you will pay is always shown in the app and by the App Store before you confirm.
The following terms apply to iOS purchases:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions after purchase.
- If you take the free trial and then buy a subscription during the trial, any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited.
- The Lifetime purchase does not renew and is not a subscription.
- Deleting your Nupo account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it with Apple separately.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policies, not by us. Apple's standard licence terms (the Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement) apply to your use of the iOS app alongside these terms.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and why. It is part of these terms.
8. Intellectual property
Nupo, including its code, design, questions, and the Nupo owl, is our property and is licensed to you — not sold — for personal, non-commercial use on devices you control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it.
9. Termination
You can stop using Nupo and delete your account at any time:
- iOS: Parent settings → Delete account
- Android: Settings → Account → Delete account
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (5, 6, 8, 10, 11) survive termination.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Nupo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including a child's use of apps or content on the device — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. Nothing in this clause removes any right you may have, as a consumer, to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Nupo after changes take effect means you accept them.
